This package builds on the work of the previous talk and offers participants an opportunity to apply circular design principles to real world products and services.

Who is this for? 

  • start-ups with a business idea that they want to be fit for the circular economy and as sustainable as possible.
  • existing businesses that want to improve the sustainability and circularity of an existing  or new product product/ service
  • design colleges wanting to add a sustainable / circular brief to their course curriculum

What does it include?

A 2.5 hour session of interactive talks on how to apply the principles of circular design and circular business models to real world scenarios, using successful contemporary circular economy case studies to illustrate best practice. 

What does it deliver?

At the end of the workshop participants will have successfully

  • evaluated the features of their concept against circular design principles
  • identified the emotional drivers behind potential customer choices
  • identified possible conflicts between sustainable features and customers’ desires
  • brainstormed solutions to resolve these issues
  • identified hypothesis to be tested on the target market,
  • learned about useful resources to aid product development
